Let's go way back... About 3 years ago I went to a friend's house to do a photo session of her one year old daughter just for fun. After her session my friend showed me some really awesome newborn photos taken by a professional photographer. She happened to know this photographer and wanted to show me her work since I was starting to show some interest in photography. I absolutely LOVED the photos and the idea of doing newborn photo sessions, but I was in no way ready for that. Fast forward to one year ago. My son was born in February and I decided to try to do a newborn session with him. It was REALLY hard! He wouldn't sleep! I got a few cute shots, but nothing even close to what I saw that day at my friend's house. I'm not sure what made me decide to start offering newborn sessions, but just a few months ago I decided to take the plunge and just go for it. I contacted a few friends from high school that I knew were expecting babies in the upcoming months and offered them sessions to build my portfolio. I was really nervous at first, but once I got into the swing of the session I ended up really enjoying it. These sessions take a lot of time and patience, so they aren't for everyone... However, for me they have become my favorite type of session to shoot. I hope to continue to learn and grow in this niche. Here is a slide show of my last 2 newborn sessions... Baby Julian and Baby Julia!

These two boys make such great big brothers! I really enjoyed my time with this family! The boys really love their little sister and it shows! I love being able to capture these special moments for so many families! Here are a few of my favorites from my last session with Ryan, Shane & Mia... Enjoy!
