This past Sunday I did my very first cake smash session.... and it was a BLAST! First we took some pre-cake photos which came out adorable. Miss Holly looked so cute in her little pink and black dress with her polka dotted tights. Then we changed her into just a diaper cover and of course mom's REAL pearls (what a lucky baby!). And we let her dig in... It took her a few minutes to figure out what she was supposed to do, but when she realized it there was no stopping her! She LOVED that cake - we heard "mmmmm" quite a few times. I'm so happy I was able to get such great pictures of Holly for her family to cherish for a lifetime! These little ones grow so fast and they only turn one once! I look forward to doing many more cake smash sessions in the future!

As mentioned a few days ago, a portion of the proceeds from yesterday's photo sessions will be donated to a family from Breezy Point who lost their home in a fire that destroyed an entire community.
Once all orders have been placed I'll be able to announce the total amount raised for that family in need.
Thanks to everyone who came out yesterday to say "cheese"! I'm so happy you chose me as your photographer and I look forward to many more!
Hello everyone! Thank you for taking the time to read my blog post today.
After watching the news and seeing all the devastation that hurricane Sandy has left behind I have decided to donate a portion of the proceeds from this Sunday's photo sessions to a family in Breezy Point. They have lost their home and all belongings in a fire that destroyed an entire community. My heart breaks for all the people who are suffering and even though I know I won't be able to give much, I hope that what I can send will make a difference. If you would like to make a donation to help this family please contact me and I will send you some information.
I encourage you to reach out to neighbors, family and friends and make sure that everyone is safe and taken care of. If you would like to make a donation to help those that were affected by the hurricane there are many websites taking donations. One is www.redcross.org.
Please also keep in mind that even though it feels like a long time that some of us are out of power (myself included) there are MANY people out working crazy hours to get our power restored. A smile or a wave will go a long way when waiting on the road to be waved on by the men and women clearing our roads and making our communities safe again. Thank you again for reading my post, and stay safe!
